Trauma & Eating Disorders with Katherine Wells

Katherine Wells joins the podcast to discuss the relationship between trauma and eating disorders. Please join us for this episode to learn about a symptom of trauma that often goes undiagnosed and untreated.

Katherine Wells a Licensed Mastered Social Worker who received her undergrad education in Social Work at the State University of Plattsburgh in 2009 and received her Masters of Social Worker from the State University at Albany in May of 2010.

She has been in the field of social work in different sectors for the last eleven years, including child welfare as a social worker in the foster care system. For five years her focus was in the field of addictions as a clinician who served patients at detox, inpatient and outpatient.

Recently, in the last five years she has focused attention on eating disorders working with patients individually and in group therapy.  She  also worked in HIV care as a director of the behavioral health services at the outpatient clinic. She has experience teaching at the collegiate level at Empire State University as an Adjunct Professor in Introduction to Human Service as well as Family Interventions.
